Democractic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton defeated rival Barack Obama in Pennsylvania yesterday.
Clinton led 55 percent to 45 percent with 95 percent of the vote counted - 1,258,748 votes cast for Clinton, 1,042,962 votes for Obama.
“Some people counted me out and said to drop out, but the American people don’t quit and they deserve a president who doesn’t quit either,” Clinton told cheering and chanting supporters in Philadelphia.
Obama still leads in the delegate race with 1,714 delegates to Clinton’s 1,589 delegates.
