The long awaited Pennsylvania primary is off to a great start. Voters flocked to the polls at 8 am today in record numbers with 8,328,123.
βIt is unprecedented for a primary election in Pennsylvania, and it is very exciting to see so many people want to participate in the electoral process.β Secretary of the Commonwealth Pedro A. Cortes stated.
There are 218,923 new registered voters have registered with 152,775 registered as Democrats and 40,195 as Republicans.
The age group of 45-54 year olds are the highest numbers of registered voters while the lowest are between 18-24 year olds.
