The R&B heavyweight Monica has announced her plans to release a fourth album sometime in August through J Records titled “Lessons Learned.” This will be her first release since 2006’s “The Makings of Me.” A single should hit airwaves in July and the album will feature about 12-14 tracks.
The album may feature production by Grammy Award Winning producer Bryan Michael Cox, Babyface, Kendrick Dean, Ne-Yo, Polow Da Don, and R.Kelly. Monica also plans on hitting the road and touring with this album, which should be a step in the right direction.
Her last album wasn’t a huge success, but I have promise for this one. She sounds enthusiastic and ready to produce a solid album, so I can’t wait to see what she’s got in store. Also, she plans on releasing a clothing line for young boys called Regions of Rock, so look out for that in stores soon.
