It looks like Kanye West is about to serve 50 Cent his walking papers.
Early projections for next week’s Billboard 200 Charts place West’s album “Graduation” well a head of his rival 50 cent’s latest “Curtis”.
According to Billboard’s Web site,”Graduation” is expected to sell 437,000 copies in its first day of release, and nearly 750,000 by next week. 50 remains a distant second with projections placing him at 310,000 on the first day and about 600,000 by next week.
The two rappers have been on a publicity campaign promoting their records, appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine as well as the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday.
50 Cent made headlines last month when he told reporters that if West outsells him then he would retire as a music artist. However, the rapper was singing a different tune when he made an appearance on MTV’s Total Request Live on Tuesday, when asked if he would still retire from music if West outsold him, he said he would no longer promote his albums.
