    • Bishop Weeks: The Devil Made Me Beat My Wife

Posted on August 27th, 2007 by mageditor

Embattled religious leader Bishop Thomas Weeks returned to his Global Destiny Ministries on Sunday telling his congregation that it was the devil who made him beat his wife Televangelist and gospel singer Jaunita Bynum.

Weeks turned himself into authorities late last week after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is accused of beating his wife in a hotel parking lot. According to reports he chocked her, knocked her to the ground and kicked her. The beating ended when a hotel employee pulled Week off her, police said.

During his sermon on Sunday morning he urged his congregation to tell one another ” We’ve got certain things going on right now, but I refuse to stop coming to the house God built.”

Weeks did not give anymore details to the incident.

If she were a true prophet she should have seen the abuse coming. I wouldn’t believe a single word this woman ever said.
