It’s an odd news day for RAGMAG. It must be disgruntle spouse day in the media, as several public figures have had physical fights with their significant others.

Several media outlets are reporting that Televangelist Juanita Bynum, think Tammy Faye Bakker but black and less drama, was given the beat down by her estranged husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks, in a hotel parking lot.

Atlanta police told reporters that Bynum,48, was attacked at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday by Week. Bynum was chocked, and beaten so badly that her injuries required medical attention.

“As he chocked her, he pushed her down to the ground and started to kick her and also stomp on her,” Atlanta Police Officer Robert Campbell told Newsday.

Bynum posted a message to her MySpace.com page:
“I am currently recovering from all my injuries and resting well. There are so many great things happening in my future, and so much to look forward to concerning my destiny, this too shall pass.”

Bynum has pressed charges against Weeks. Police have secured warrants on aggravated assault and terrorist threat charges (?), both are felonies.

Amy Winehouse and Husband: Ike and Tina Turner reborn?

 While Bynum was chocked out and stomped down by her husband, British singer Amy Winehouse duked it out with her husband during a recent brawl that left the two looking like Angela Bassett and Lawrence Fishburne (as Ike and Tina Turner) in “What Love Got to do With it.”

Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil reportedly began fighting early Friday during a stay in an expensive London hotel. Reports vary, ranging from the fight began after a drug binge and after the couple left rehab. The couple were seen fleeing from the hotel bruised and bloodied. Winehouse reportedly sent text messages to Blogger Perez Hilton, begging him to post accurate information that Fielder-Civil never hit her.

But where did the cuts and bruises come from Amy? If any of these rumors are true, it looks that she at least landed some hits and cuts on her husband as well.

Lohan and Richie Get Short Jail Sentences

Startlets Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie made out quite well with their recent jail sentences for DUI.

Richie spent a total of 82 minutes for a four day jail sentence in the pokey before quickly being released. She was released due to a federal mandate meant to manage overcrowding in jails. Hmm go figure.

Lohan made up much better, after most of her drug charges were dropped for her DUI last month, she was sentence to one day in jail.

If there is some mathematical equation comparing the two sentences: Lohan may serve only 10 minutes of her 24 hour sentence…
