Oh the irony of it all! 

 She said “no, no, no” to rehab, but British singer Amy Winehouse has checked into a stateside rehabilitation center for cocaine and heroin addiction.

 British paper The Mirror reports that Winehouse and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil admitted to family that they were using drugs and were rushed off to a rehab facility in the U.S. on Monday.

  Winehouse made the decision to check herself in after her father and father-in-law nearly came fisticuffs over the couple’s drug use.  Things climaxed  last Wednesday when Winehouse,23, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital after taking a “cocktail of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, the horse tranquillizer ketamine and booze.” **Editor’s Note** Wooo, this woman was trying to send herself to the moon with all those drugs…

  But later that week, Winehouse and her husband checked into a Four Seasons Hotel where they smoked heroin worth £3,000 or roughly $7,000. 

  Winehouse has agreed to put her career on hold to clean herself up. Both her and Fielder-Civil also agreed to have no contact with the outside world during their stay in rehab. 

  Amy Winehouse hit the top of the Billboard charts with her debut American album “Back to Black.” Her hit song “Rehab” in which she sings about not going, has become an unofficial rehab anthem. It speaks to celebrity culture where trips to rehab by stars have become all too frequent, if not useless.
