Readers of RAGMAG may have noticed that the site hasn’t been updated in a while. But RAGMAG is back and better than ever. We spent our week off doing productive work. Building business connections in Las Vegas. And certainly not staying out all night partying in clubs. Anyway, while we were away here is what we missed.

Gwen Stefani Says “no” to more solo albums

After releasing two platinum selling solo albums, the Hollaback Girl Gwen Stefani told the New Zealand Herald that she is throwing in the towel on her solo career and returning to her band No Doubt.“I don’t think I will make another solo album. I can’t predict anything, but I don’t plan on making one of these solo dance project records, I definitely feel myself going back to No Doubt to do a new album. I’ve got the idea in my head and that’s all I can think about.”

50 Cent says he’ll quit if Kanye West outsells him

In what looks to be an act of desperation, rapper 50 cent said he will quit rapping if fellow hip-hopper Kanye West’s album “Graduation” outsells his “Curtis” album on the Billboard charts. Both albums share a September 11 release date.

“They would like to see Kanye West give me a problem because I’ve worked myself into a space where I’ve become the favorite,” 50 told hip-hop Web site sohh.com on Friday. “Everybody roots against the under when he goes against the favorite. Put it like this, let’s raise the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer write music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.”

I’m confused. Is 50 saying people root against the underdog and that he’s the favorite? Isn’t the underdog WHO the people usually root for? Let’s hope Mr. West, the more interesting of the two, hands 50 his retirement papers come September 11.
