In an e-mail to the entertainment news show Access Hollywood, actress Lindsay Lohan said she was innocent of the DUI and drug charges against after being arrested by the Santa Monica Police Department on Tuesday. 

 “I am innocent… did not do drugs they’re not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin’s mom I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy,” she wrote in the e-mail.  

  According to police, Lohan was chasing her assistant’s mother after the two had an intense argument near the Santa Monica’s Civic Auditorium. The assistant reportedly quit hours before the argument. Police received a call from the assistant’s mother telling the police that Lohan was chasing her in an SUV.  

 When police caught up with Lohan, she was charged with driving under the influence and with a suspended license, and felony of cocaine possession.
