In two separate incidents, rappers Ja Rule and Lil’ Wayne were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon late Sunday.

According to reports, officers saw Carter,24, and another gentlemen smoking marijuana outside of a tour bus. After searching them, police found a .40-caliber pistol and charged both men with possession of a weapon and of marijuana.
It is unclear if Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeff Atkins, 30, performed at the concert. Sunday night’s billing at the Beacon Theatre only list “Lil’ Wayne and friends.”
Atkins reportedly was pulled over near West End Avenue in New York for speeding. Police arrested Atkins and two other occupants in the luxury sedan, and found a .40-caliber gun.
The two rappers recently collaborated on the track “Uh Oh” from Ja Rule’s upcoming album “The Mirror” due out September 25.
