Albert Gore III, former Vice President Al Gore’s son, was arrested early this morning in Orange County, California on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs, CNN reports.
Gore, 24, was allegedly driving at 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway at 2:15 a.m. when a police officer pulled him over. The officer smelled marijuana and found less than an ounce of the drug as well as prescription drugs Valium, Xanax, Vicodin, and Adderall.
“He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs,” Jim Amormino of the Sheriff’s Department told The Associated Press.
This is not the first time Gore Junior has gotten in trouble with drugs.
Gore III was forced to enroll in a substance abuse program in 2004 after he was caught with possession of marijuana in Maryland.
